17.01.2019

Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and Head of Latvian Government Māris Kučinskis congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his appointment as Prime Minister of Armenia.

The message of Jüri Ratas reads as follows: “Please accept my sincere congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

I wish you every success in carrying out the important responsibility of leading the reform process to make Armenia more democratic and prosperous. Estonia, as a country that has been through a transition process itself, values highly the opportunity to develop even closer relations with Armenia to share our experience.

The ongoing very good cooperation between our countries, especially in the fields of information technology and culture, is an excellent base to deepen our bilateral relations. I am convinced that during your term in office we will extend our contacts to other fields and reinforce the existing ones.

I hope that Armenia will continue to develop relations with the European Union, particularly through the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and within the Eastern Partnership.

I look forward to working with you and hope that we will soon have the opportunity to exchange views in person.”

In his message, Māris Kučinskis stated in part: “On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Latvia, I would like to extend to you my warmest congratulations on your reappointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

It is a great pleasure to see the development of the well-established cooperation between Latvia and Armenia. I am convinced that our relationship will continue to strengthen for the benefit and prosperity of our nations.”
