Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received U.S.-Armenian philanthropist Mike Sarian, President of Operations at Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. A prominent figure in the U.S. healthcare industry, Mr. Sarian serves as the CEO of a major network of 45 hospitals in 14 States.

Welcoming Mike Sarian’s first-ever visit to Armenia, the Acting Prime Minister highly valued his many years of professional activity, his active role in Armenian-Americans’ community life and in the development programs implemented in Armenia and Artsakh.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that fruitful ties of cooperation will be established with the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia, which will lead to enhanced efficiency of healthcare reforms.

Thanking Nikol Pashinyan for the reception, Mike Sarian said he was proud of the opportunity to contribute to Motherland’s development. He expressed willingness to assist the Premier, the Government and the Ministry of Healthcare with the ongoing healthcare reform, as well as to apply his long experience and professional skills for the development of Armenia’s healthcare system through targeted programs.

Nikol Pashinyan welcomed Mike Sarian’s practical approach, stressing that during this crucial period for Armenia, it is necessary to tap the all-Armenian potential from around the world in building the future of our country.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of medical insurance, modernization of medical institutions, professional training and in a number of other areas. It was agreed that the possibility of implementing specific projects will be discussed in more detail at tomorrow’s meeting with the Acting Healthcare Minister of Armenia.
