Georgian Premier Irakli Garibashvili sent a congratulatory message to Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in connection with his Civil Contract party’s victory in the 2021 parliamentary elections. The message reads, in part:

“Excellency,
Dear Nikol,

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your Civil Contract party’s victory in the 2021 parliamentary elections. I congratulate friendly Armenia and the Armenian people on holding successful elections. The brotherly Armenian people voted for the democratic development of the country.

The elections were assessed by international observers as positive and competitive, which is of great importance not only for Armenia, but for the region, in general. A stable, democratic, committed to international values Armenia will promote regional peace and cooperation.

The friendly relations between our two countries have been reinvigorated in recent years. I am happy to see that the tradition of centuries-old good-neighborly relations between Georgia and Armenia continues. I am deeply convinced that the bilateral relations will continue in the same spirit.

I avail myself of this opportunity to thank you for your kind birthday greetings.
