A Cabinet meeting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Premier felicitated Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan on his birthday, and congratulated all healthcare services - on the Day of Medical Worker.

Then, referring to the resignation of Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan, the Prime Minister said he had not accepted it. “Dear colleagues, as you may know, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan has come up with a resignation request. I have declined her resignation and, as a result of recent discussions, we decided to continue our joint work with Ms. Tandilyan. We likewise will continue to work on the widely discussed and controversial issue of funded pension system,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

Mane Tandilyan thanked the Prime Minister for reflecting on the principles of the funded pension system. “I am ready to submit a new draft to my colleagues for a preliminary discussion in a short time. I also see the need to make people’s opinion heard by circulating the draft through the e-draft.am platform in order to get proposals and recommendations and finalize the draft at a government sitting within a short period time,” Mane Tandilyan pointed out.

Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed: “What matters most is that we will thereby ensure a normal course of the process. Our chief task is to do everything in the framework of declared principles.”

The Government revoked its decision of August 24, 2017 “On transfer of trust management rights to High Voltage Electric Network CJSC." The revised version of the agreement between the Founder and the Trust Manager has not been ratified and enacted as the Founder no longer intends to continue work on starting and implementing the process of transferring the management of High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

The Government approved the proposal to sign a “Protocol between the central customs authorities of Eurasian Economic Union-member States and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the procedure for the exchange of information in accordance with Article 5.7 of the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its member States, on the one hand, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the other hand, on May 29, 2015.”

The protocol determines the procedure for electronic information exchange between the parties to facilitate the implementation of customs operations, accelerate the release of goods and prevent violations of customs laws and regulations.
