The Prime Minister chairs discussion on the implementation of the National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights and the Action Plan for 2023-2025 arising from it

A working discussion was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, dedicated to the implementation of the National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights and the Action Plan for 2023-2025 arising from it.

Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the main goals of the strategy, in particular, the right to a fair trial, the right to freedom from torture, the right to healthcare, the prohibition of discrimination, the protection of the rights of persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, the rights of the child, the right to life, the right to social security, freedom of assembly, the right to education, as well as the work being carried out to strengthen international cooperation.

The Minister detailed the steps taken, which included activities related to the development of professional capacities, the development of legislative initiatives, and the implementation of awareness-raising activities.

During the discussion, the events planned for 2025 were also discussed.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the effective and timely implementation of the events envisaged by the National Strategy and Action Plan for the Protection of Human Rights, emphasizing their importance in the protection of fundamental human rights and the establishment of a legal state.
