Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired the regular Cabinet meeting.

At the beginning of the session, the Head of the Government referred to the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulted by Azerbaijan's illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor, the blocking of the transfer of humanitarian aid waiting in Kornidzor to Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as Azerbaijan's actions to abort the peace process.

The Government approved the investment program presented by "GNC-ALFA" company. The adoption of this decision is conditioned by the provision of access to the necessary infrastructure within the framework of the investment program implemented by "GNC-ALFA" CJSC. The necessary infrastructure includes the construction and reconstruction of the transport road to provide road access and the construction of two complementary substations for the operation of the data processing center and the corresponding cable lines. The adoption of this decision will enable to contribute to the effective implementation of the investment program.

The Government has approved the package of bills on making additions and amendments to the Law on Tourism and related laws.

The need to improve the existing legal framework arose from the real need to clarify the mutual rights and obligations of the tourism subjects and tourists, to clarify the requirements for tourist services and to clarify the means of control over tourism activities in the conditions of dynamic development and new challenges characteristic of the field of tourism. It is expected that the proposed amendments and additions will contribute to the protection of consumer rights of citizens, the clarification of the requirements presented to tourist activity services and entities, the development of tourism in communities, balanced territorial economic development, human resources development, etc.

Nikol Pashinyan noted that by the strategy of transformation of Armenia for the period unlil 2050, it is planned to increase the annual number of tourists visiting Armenia to 15 million. According to the Prime Minister, this year's current figures show that if it is possible to provide such services that the tourist returning from Armenia recommends others to visit Armenia, this number will be very realistic. The Head of the Government emphasized that there is a need to make strategic decisions in the sector. In this regard, the Prime Minister also highlighted the development of tourism in the regions, the introduction of non-cash in the regions, the effective work of the Patrol Police and the Rescue Service.

The Government approved the proposal to sign the agreement "On the harmonized system for determining the origin of goods exported from the of the Eurasian Economic Union customs zone".

The purpose of the agreement is to coordinate and unify all issues related to the determination of the country of origin of goods exported to third countries, to regulate the activities of organizations providing certificates of origin of goods, to eliminate existing legal gaps in the mentioned field.
