The Prime Minister receives the head of the IMF mission in Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Iva Petrova, IMF Mission Chief for Armenia.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of cooperation with the IMF for the benefit of the development of the economy and maintenance of stability in our country.

The interlocutors discussed the reforms in the direction of improving the fiscal and monetary policies, the financial sector, and the investment environment.

The interlocutors emphasized the fact of positive macroeconomic indicators recorded in Armenia with the results of 2023, attaching importance to the continuity of reforms in order to maintain the rate of economic activity. The Prime Minister emphasized that maintaining macroeconomic stability is an absolute priority for the Armenian government and the steps and reforms in that direction will be consistent.

Reference was made to the humanitarian problems of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh and the steps to solve them. In that context, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the continuity of the assistance of the international community.
