With a feeling of deep sorrow I learned of the passing of People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, stage director, Professor Yervand Ghazanchyan.

Invaluable is Yervand Ghazanchyan’s role in the development of the Armenian theatrical art. His shows have left an indelible mark not only in cultural life but also in public life of Armenia. To my strong belief, they will be reserved a unique niche in the rich heritage of Armenian culture.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Yervand Ghazanchyan’s family, colleagues, as well as to the fans of his art.
