Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on the death of former Prime Minister Édouard Balladur.

It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the death of former Prime Minister of France Mr. Édouard Balladur.

Édouard Balladur was one of the prominent statesmen and politicians in the modern history of France, who during his long career held high state positions, including assuming the position of Prime Minister of France at an important period for the country, contributing to the development of the political and economic life of France.

In Armenia, we also remember with special feeling the Armenian roots of Édouard Balladur, which connected the history of his life with the Armenian people.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the people of Armenia, I express my deepest condolences and support to you, the friendly people of France, as well as to the family and loved ones of the deceased, wishing them endurance at this time of great loss."
