Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to President Bashar al-Assad of the Syrian Arab Republic on the occasion of Syria’s National. The message reads, in part:

“I warmly congratulate you and the friendly people of Syria on the National Holiday of the Syrian Arab Republic.

I am confident that the historically deeply-rooted friendly relations between Armenia and Syria will continue to develop and strengthen for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

I hope that having overcome the difficulties of the crisis, Syria will soon enter a period of recovery and prosperity.

I wish you good health and every success, as well as peace and stability - to the friendly people of Syria. ”
