Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Pope Leo XIV on his election as the Holy Father of Rome. The congratulatory message states:

I warmly congratulate you on your election as the Holy Father of Rome.

I am confident that your divine mission will contribute to the establishment of peace, justice and tolerance throughout the world.

I reaffirm Armenia’s commitment to further deepening and developing Armenia-Holy See interstate relations and the existing high-level political dialogue, based on strong historical ties, common values, and spiritual and Christian cultural heritage.
