EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has sent a congratulatory message to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the Civil Contract party in the parliamentary elections.

“I congratulate you on your success in the Armenian elections. In the face of far-reaching coercion and interference by Russia, this victory reaffirms Armenians' choice for a strong, sovereign and independent Armenia”.

She announced that she will pay a visit to Armenia as soon as possible.

“Europe’s solidarity with Armenia stands. Today, we will also start our work in the new EU-Armenia Task Force to deepen our partnership,” Kos wrote.
