Prime Minister of Japan Takaichi Sanae congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his reappointment to the post of Prime Minister of Armenia. The congratulatory message reads as follows:

“Excellency,

On behalf of the Government and people of Japan, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations on Your Excellency’s reappointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armena.

Armenia is an important partner for Japan in maintaining and strengthening a free and open international order based on the rule of law.

Your Excellency’s visit to Japan last September was an important opportunity to further deepen bilateral relations. Next year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, and I look forward to further expanding and developing bilateral relations under close cooperation with Your Excellency.
