Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sent a congratulatory message to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The message reads,

''Your Excellency On behalf of the Government and people of Australia, I warmly congratulate you and the Civil Contract party on your success in Armenia's parliamentary elections of 7 June 2026.

Australia welcomes the participation of the Armenian people in this democratic process and recognises the significance of these elections for Armenia's future.

Australia commends the historic progress made towards a comprehensive and durable peace with Azerbajian.

I encourage continued efforts to see this through to a signed and ratified agreement. I also welcome Armenia's ongoing reform efforts and its engagement with international partners in support of its economic prosperity, democratic governance and sovereignty.

Australia values its relationship with Armenia, enriched by the Armenian-Australian community and its contribution to our multicultural society. I look forward to strengthening cooperation between our countries in the years ahead.
