Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Armavir Province and got acquainted with the projects under implementation and already completed within the framework of the state budget funding, subsidy programs and private investments in several communities of the province.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan, Governor of Armavir Province Edward Hovhannisyan and others.

The Prime Minister first visited the enlarged Parakar community, where the secondary school of Ptghunk is being built within the framework of the "Seismic Safety Improvement Program" funded by the state budget of the Republic of Armenia and the Asian Development Bank. Touring in the school building, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the architectural plan of the school, implemented and ongoing construction works. According to the officials in charge, the construction works of the two-story school with a total area of 2981 square meters for 240 students began in 2020, and the completion is planned for the end of this year. 70 percent of the works have already been completed. The cost of the project is 975 million AMD.

Then the Head of the Government visited the enlarged Khoy community, where he was introduced to the works carried out within the framework of the improvement of Yerevanyan and Baghramyan Streets in Hovtamej community. It was reported to the Prime Minister that the works implemented within the framework of the subsidy programs are completed. 260 meters of road and 400 meters of sidewalks in Hovtamej village has been paved with tuff stone. The cost of the project was almost 30 million AMD.

The next stop of the Prime Minister was in Araks community. Here, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction works of the kindergarten building of Guy settlement. It was reported to the Prime Minister that within the framework of the subsidy programs, a two-story kindergarten building consisting of 4 parts, designed for 150 children, is being built on a plot of 0.42 ha. It is planned to create 15-20 permanent jobs. According to the officials in charge, 92 percent of the construction works have been completed, interior decoration works are in progress. The project started in 2020, the end is planned in August of the current year. The cost of the project is 328 million AMD.

After that, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the overhaul works of the M-3, Turkish border-Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Georgia border interstate highway km2+000-km10+500 section with the funds of the state budget of Armenia. It was reported to Nikol Pashinyan that the 8.5 km long road section under reconstruction passes through Margara, Vardanashen, Yeraskhahun, Jrarbi, Apaga, Lusagyugh settlements of the province. 15 percent of the construction works have been completed. The cost of the project is 1 billion 107 million AMD.

In the settlement of Arevik, the Head of the Government got acquainted with the construction of a modular nursery-kindergarten within the framework of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia. It is designed for 144 children. The construction works started in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in 2022. The cost of the project is 496 million AMD. 70% of the works have been completed.

Then, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid tribute to the memory of serviceman Sevak Khachatryan fallen in 2016, bowing flowers to the monument-cross stone.

The Prime Minister made an unplanned stop in Yeraskhahun community, where he talked with the residents, got acquainted with their problems and answered a number of questions. The Prime Minister asked the residents of the village about their employment, agricultural work, availability of kindergarten and school. "We will build 300 schools, 500 kindergartens in the country. That program will also reach your village," said Nikol Pashinyan, emphasizing that schools and kindergartens in the villages of Armenia should be of the highest level.

The villagers raised the issue of electricity and substation. "Unfortunately, we can't do it all at once. We will solve all the issues one by one. Be sure that we constantly cope with the issues of the communities, we are doing everything to make the people feel a concrete change in the communities. But our first issue that we need to solve is the issue of children: school, kindergarten, road, water...", Nikol Pashinyan said.

In Yeraskhahun, the Head of the Government paid tribute to the memory of the heroes fallen in the 44-day war, laying flowers and bowing to their tombs.

As part of his working visit to Armavir Province, the Prime Minister also visited the Armavir community. Here, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the conditions of the reconstructed stadium of Armavir city. It was reported to the Prime Minister that the stadium of Armavir built in 1980 was reconstructed with the funds of the Football Federation of Armenia, which was considered one of the largest stadiums in Armenia and is the 3rd largest stadium in the country in terms of capacity. The construction works of the 3100-seat stadium started in 2018 and are completely finished. There are 4 small fields with artificial grass nearby the stadium. The opening of the stadium took place on November 30, 2021. The cost of the project is 688 million AMD.

In this community, the course of works on the repair of water supply and drainage distribution networks and the installation of individual water meters was presented to the Prime Minister. The project is being implemented within the framework of the "Communal Infrastructure Program II, Phase 3 – Armenia, Water and Sanitation Project " of the Armenian Territorial Development Fund (ATDF) , with loans from the Reconstruction Credit Institute (KfW), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the resources of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. It was reported to the Head of the Government that the works started in 2021, a 12 km long distribution network has already been overhauled. The works are scheduled to be completed in 2023. The cost of the project is 1 billion 800 million AMD.

The next stop of the Prime Minister was in Baghramyan community. Here, the Head of the Government first familiarized himself with the construction works of the secondary school of Argina within the framework of the "Project for the construction of modular buildings of public schools with a small number of students". According to the officials, the construction works of the school with a shelter of 360 square meters, intended for 100 students, are planned to be completed in December of the current year. The cost of the project is 680 million AMD. The funds were provided from the state budget of the Republic of Armenia. 70% of the works have already been completed.

Nikol Pashinyan also visited the fully reconstructed factory of "Yerevan Marmalade Industries" company in Karakert. It was presented to the Head of the Government that the reconstruction works of the canned food factory established in the Karakert settlement back in 1963 started in 2018. An investment of 20 million USD was made in the factory occupying 5.5 hectares of land. As a result, the factory was equipped with modern production lines of the Italian company BERTUZZI Macchine Agricole, which were imported and installed with Government assistance.

As a result of the implemented works, the productivity and product quality of the factory, which has several workshops and a dryers, has increased dramatically. According to the managers, in addition to various types of preserves and dried products, dried spices, as well as semi-finished products and a variety of purees are presented on the market. The product is known to the Armenian consumer as well as in the Russian Federation and a number of European countries. In the future, it is planned to expand the production capacities, to establish a refrigeration economy, which will contribute to the creation of new jobs.
