The Prime Minister toured the communities of Aragatsotn Province and familiarized himself with the course of state programs

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid a working visit to Aragatsotn Province today. After getting acquainted with the performance report 2022 of Aragatsotn regional administration, the Prime Minister visited a number of communities of the region and got acquainted with the progress of the programs being implemented in different fields.

The tour of the Prime Minister started from Ohanavan and Artashavan settlements of Ashtarak community. In the Ohanavan settlement, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction process of the local secondary school. the educational center is being built under the "Seismic Safety Improvement Program" implemented with the co-financing of the Government and the Asian Development Bank. The project started in January 2021 and is planned to be completed in 2023. in September. In the Artashavan settlement, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the works of major repair of the building of the local kindergarten and improvement of the courtyard area, which are carried out within the framework of the subsidy program. The cost of the project is about 190 million AMD, the amount of co-financing from the state budget is 70 percent. The project is expected to be completed this year.

Nikol Pashinyan headed to Talin community after Ashtarak, where the community medical center is being reconstructed with the state funding. During the tour, it was mentioned that the construction works are planned to be completed in 2024. The total cost of the project is1 billion 200 million AMD. The Prime Minister also visited the newly built central park of Talin city, which was built in 2022 under a subsidy program. The project worth more than 37 million AMD is co-financed by 35 percent from the state budget. Nikol Pashinyan walked around the park, talked with the residents of Talin and congratulated them on the opening of the beautiful park.

The next stop of the Prime Minister was the rural settlements of Garnahovit and Lusak, where modular buildings for secondary schools are being built within the framework of the project "Construction of modular buildings for public schools with a small number of children". According to those in charge, in the case of 2 schools, the works started in 2020, and are expected to be completed at the end of 2023. The cost of the Garnahovit school project is about 700 million AMD, Lusakn school - about 650 million AMD. The Head of the Government emphasized the proper implementation of school construction projects and the provision of educational centers with the necessary property. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the infrastructures being created have the potential to become community centers and instructed to study the available opportunities in this regard.

In Zovasar and Karmrashen settlements of Aragatsotn Province, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the memory of the heroic Armenians who fell in the 44-day war. Nikol Pashinyan also laid flowers at the monument to those who died in the Great Patriotic War.

The Prime Minister also familiarized himself with the condition of the Nerkin Sasnashen-Metsadzor road section, which was improved within the framework of the "Vital Roads Improvement Program". A 9.5 km road was asphalted with the project worth about 952 million AMD. Nikol Pashinyan drew the attention of those in charge to the need to update road markings, noting that proper furnishing and maintenance are also an important component of road construction.

The last stop of the Head of Government to Aragatsotn Province was the Aragatsavan settlement, where he got acquainted with the operation of the slaughterhouse built in 2020. It was noted that the amount of investment is 70 million AMD, the conditions created for the slaughterhouse operation and the capacities of the infrastructure were presented.
