Prime Minister Pashinyan continues his visit to Tavush Province, gets acquainted with the progress of infrastructure development, school building and other projects

On April 29, the working visit of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Tavush Province continued.

The Prime Minister first visited the enlarged community of Noyemberyan, at the construction site of the building of the local medical center, and got acquainted with the works of establishing departments of pediatrics and infectious diseases. The total cost of the works carried out by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund is 115 million AMD. The Prime Minister noted that the Government, in turn, will equip the departments with new property. Construction will be completed in February 2024.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the 200-meter-long tuff paving works carried out within the framework of the subsidy program in one of the streets of Noyemberyan. 29 million 440 thousand AMD were allocated for the implementation of the project, of which 19 million AMD are from the state budget. The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the works and noted that tuff-paving of the streets in different communities will not only serve the population for a long time, but will also make them attractive from the point of view of tourism and provide a unique color.

The Prime Minister also familiarized himself with the progress of construction of the modular school in Dovegh, which is designed for more than 100 children. The total cost of the project is 750 million AMD, allocated by the Government. The construction works are planned to be finished next year.

In the Voskevan settlement of the Noyemberyan community, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with details of the completed works on the renovation of the house of culture. The hall and the waiting room of the house of culture were thoroughly renovated under the subsidy program. The total area of the building is 1154 square meters, the renovated area is 204 square meters. The total cost of the project was 36 million AMD, the share of the state budget co-financing was 21,642,462 AMD. Groups of painting, pottery and other branches of art operate in the house of culture.

Next, the Prime Minister visited the construction site of the modular school in Kirants. The school is designed for 100 children, 60 percent of the works have been completed. 750 million AMD were allocated from the state budget for the project. The school is expected to be commissioned in September of this year.

Asphalting works were also carried out on the ring road of Achajur settlement with an area of 6000 square meters and a length of 828 meters, for which 90 million 376 thousand AMD were spent, the amount of co-financing from the state budget is 49.7 million AMD.

In Aknaghbyur settlement the major repair works of the corresponding section of the M-4 highway, the 1st street of the Aknaghbyur settlement, which started in 2022, are planned to be completed this year. The total cost of the 3 km long asphalting project is 225 million AMD.

Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ijevan Medical Center, where computed tomography and hemodialysis departments were established. The total cost of the project is 223 million AMD. It was noted that 1500 beneficiaries have already been examined, 24 patients are receiving hemodialysis.

The Prime Minister also visited the construction site of Gandzakar secondary school in Ijevan community and got acquainted with the works that started in 2022 and are planned to be completed next year. The project, the total cost of which is 1.8 billion drams, is implemented with the co-financing of the RA government and the Asian Development Bank. The new school will be seismically resistant to at least a magnitude 9 earthquake, as well as energy efficient.

Within the framework of the vital highways improvement project, major repair works were also carried out on the 11 km section of Gosh-Aghavnavank of the Dilijan community of the M-4 - Chambarak - M-14 republican highway, for which the government allocated 869 million drams.

The Prime Minister also visited the construction site of Gandzakar’s secondary school in Ijevan community and got acquainted with the works that started in 2022 and are planned to be completed next year. The project, the total cost of which is 1.8 million AMD, is implemented with the co-financing of the Government and the Asian Development Bank. The new school will have seismic resistance to at least a magnitude 9 earthquake, as well as energy efficient.

Within the framework of the improvement of vital roads project, major repair works were also carried out on the 11 km section of Gosh-Aghavnavank road of the Dilijan community of the M4 - Chambarak - M14 republican highway, for which the government allocated 869 million AMD.

In the Dilijan community, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction of a business complex, data processing center and a recreation area within the framework of the investment project implemented by the private sector. It is planned to invest 25 million AMD in the first stage of the project, the entire investment program is estimated at 100 million USD. It is reported that the data processing center will have a modern server farm, which will also assist the state in providing technology, cyber security and other services. As part of the "Infrastructure for Investment" program, the Government supports the investor in road construction and internet network provisioning. The state aid is estimated at 476 million AMD. The investment program is expected to be completed within a year.

At the end of the visit, Nikol Pashinyan also got acquainted with the major repair works of the building of Hovhannes Sharambeyan Children's Art School building that started in 2022, which are again being implemented within the framework of subsidy programs. The building, built in the 1920s, is being completely renovated. 30 percent of the works have been done, completion is planned for the current year. The total cost of the project was 232 million AMD, almost 93 million AMD were co-financed from the state budget.
