The Prime Minister familiarizes himself with implemented and ongoing programs in Lori region

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Lori region to get acquainted with implemented and ongoing programs.

Nikol Pashinyan was first presented with the renovated road of Saint Petersburg Street in Vanadzor. The total cost of the works amounted to about 553 million AMD, which was allocated from the state budget. As a result of the program, 1.8 km of road was renovated.

Next, the Prime Minister visited Kh. Abovyan Primary School No. 9 in Vanadzor, where the newly built school gym was presented. The Government has allocated 224 million drams for the implementation of the program.

Nikol Pashinyan's next stop was at the Vanadzor No. 8 cottage kindergarten, where the second stage of the construction of the kindergarten building were presented. The total cost of the subsidy program is about 306 million drams, of which 214 million drams were allocated by the Government. As a result of the implementation of the program, the settlement has a newly built kindergarten with a capacity of 180 places.

The Prime Minister was also presented with the renovated section of the (M-3) interstate road Vanadzor - Spitak. The total cost of the project was about 3 billion drams, which was allocated from the state budget. As a result of the implemented works, 11.84 km of the road were renovated.

In the Spitak community, the Prime Minister toured the newly built modular nursery-kindergarten with a capacity of 144 places, familiarized himself with the created conditions. The total cost of the project amounted to about 851 million drams.

Nikol Pashinyan’s next stop was in the Gargar settlement, where he was presented with the construction process of the educational complex. The total cost of the project amounts to 1 billion 947 million drams. As a result, Gargar will have a new educational complex consisting of a secondary school for 200 children and a kindergarten for 80 children. The project was launched in 2024, and is scheduled for completion in 2026.

Next, the Prime Minister visited the newly built primary school No. 3 in Stepanavan. The total cost of the project amounted to 1 billion 543 million drams. The school is designed for 432 students. The school is included in the Government’s “300 Schools to be Built, Renovated or Reconstructed by 2026” program.

The Prime Minister delivered a speech, congratulated those present on the opening of the school and emphasized: “I would like to thank once again all our citizens working in Armenia, paying legal taxes, thanks to funds generated by whom the Government was able to build this school.” Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that the school, with its physical environment and content, will help students have a greater reserve of self-confidence in later years.

The Prime Minister spoke about the importance of having a clearly formulated message in all schools and noted: “Ultimately, the most important goal of a school is for students to be more successful in their later lives through education, and saying successful we mean that they live well, and this is the most important message that we want to convey to our students.” Nikol Pashinyan added that the motto should tell all students: study well, so that you live well, because living well and well-being are based only on knowledge.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of teachers' work for a student, emphasizing that the Government creates opportunities so that by being a good teacher it is possible to live well and the well-being of a family can be ensured through the work of a teacher. "We must be sure that the teacher working at school, who determines the ability of our children to study well, as well as to live well in the future, we must be sure that our esteemed teachers have the appropriate skills. At the same time, I want to emphasize that having this skill once is not enough, because in the modern world, knowledge changes, knowledge develops, skills develop, and it is very important that we be principled in this matter for the sake of our children."

Congratulating the students and teachers once again, the Prime Minister noted: "I want our schools to become a platform for the good life and well-being of every citizen of our country, our society. And the more we talk and think about this, the more we become convinced that it is indeed true, that tomorrow's well-being is being shaped here today in these classrooms."

In the Stepanavan community, the Prime Minister was presented with the progress of the construction works of the Ashotaberd district. The total cost of the project is 9 billion 678 million drams. As a result, the community will have a newly built residential district with 15 buildings. It was noted that the project was launched in 2024, and completion is scheduled for 2028.

In the same community, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the renovation works of School No. 1. The total cost of the project is 231 million drams. The renovated school is designed for 522 students. The school is included in the Government's program "300 schools to be built, renovated or reconstructed by 2026." The works are scheduled to be completed in the coming months.

Then, the Prime Minister visited the newly built secondary school in Hagvi and got acquainted with the created conditions. The Government has allocated 816 million drams for the implementation of the project.

Within the framework of road construction programs, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the works of the M-6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-RA border interstate highway km384+50-km481+40 /km467+50-km473+61/ section (Odzun intersection /M6 and H35/). The total cost of the project amounted to 977 million drams. As a result, 0.611 km of road (Odzun intersection) was restored and improved.

Then, the Prime Minister visited the “Sanahin Station” district of Alaverdi, where the temporary metal bridge was presented. It was noted that the cost of installing the bridge amounted to 48 million drams. The road bridge was completely destroyed due to last year's floods. The metal bridge was installed with the donation from the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is currently passable for vehicles.

The Prime Minister was also presented with the repair works of the bridge located in the first kilometer of the H-22, /M-6/ - Dsegh - /H-70/ national highway. The total cost of the project amounted to 105 million drams. As a result, a 117.7 m long bridge was repaired.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the medium repair works of the 7.54 km section of the H-22, /M-6/ - Dsegh - /H-70/ national highway. The total cost of the project amounted to about 295 million drams, which was allocated from the state budget.

The Prime Minister’s last stop was in the Pambak settlement, where he got acquainted with the “Mountree” hotel built under the investment program implemented by the private sector. The Prime Minister toured the hotel complex and got acquainted with the investments made. It was noted that the hotel was built in 2021-2024, with an investment of about 8 million dollars.
