Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, along with a group of about 50 citizens of the Republic of Armenia, visited the Kirants settlement in Tavush region.

The first stop was at the demarcated Kirants section of the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, where the implemented works were presented. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the goal of today's visit is to demonstrate the concept of ensuring Armenia's security, by which the Government of the Republic of Armenia is guided. The Prime Minister emphasized that the country's security cannot be ensured only through army, security tools must be diverse, and the Kirants wall is one of these security tools. "This is an additional concept of ensuring security and our understanding of the peace agenda. I can confidently say that Kirants is one of the safest villages in Armenia," the Prime Minister said, adding that despite predictions that Kirants will be emptied, 54 new houses are currently being built under the 16 million AMD program. Before the demarcation, the village had 90 households.

Nikol Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of the demarcation process from a management perspective and emphasized that one of its important features is that you know your area and scope of responsibility.

Then, during the tour of the newly built G. Vardanyan primary school in Kirants, the group members got acquainted with the conditions created in the school, which has been in operation for a year. The Government had allocated 737 million drams for the project. The school is designed for 100 children, and there is a preschool for 20 children.

Nikol Pashinyan and the citizens also visited the Kirants Holy Trinity Church, for the restoration of which 55 million drams were allocated from the state budget. The restoration works are currently in the final stage.

Under conditions of confidentiality, the citizens were also presented with the weapons and equipment acquired in recent years, as well as engineering innovations.
