The Prime Minister gets acquainted with programs implemented in Kotayk region

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Kotayk region to get acquainted with the programs implemented in various settlements.

The Prime Minister’s first stop was at the secondary school in the Mrgashen settlement of the Nor Hachn community. It was renovated within the framework of the Government’s “300 Schools to be Built, Renovated or Reconstructed by 2026” program. The total cost of construction works amounted to 248 million 514 thousand drams. The renovated school is designed for 303 students.

In the Nor Hachn community, Nikol Pashinyan also visited the pepper greenhouse of the “Novo Village” company in the Nor Geghi settlement. Within the framework of the “Support to the Development of Greenhouse Farms in the Republic of Armenia” program, the Government supported the establishment of a pepper greenhouse with an area of 5.2 hectares by the private sector. The program was implemented with a loan of about 2 billion 640 million drams, of which the full interest subsidy on the loan amounted to 10%.

The Prime Minister’s next stop was at the kindergarten in the Bujakan settlement of the Nairi community. Within the framework of the subsidy program, the kindergarten building, designed for 90 students, was renovated. The total cost of the program amounted to 470 million 180 thousand drams, of which 70%, about 329 million drams, was allocated by the Government.

In the Charentsavan community, the Prime Minister was presented with the works on the renovation of the 2-km-long road of republican significance leading to the “Bjni Amrots” historical and cultural reserve. The total cost of the construction works amounted to 104 million drams. The Prime Minister attached importance to the construction of the road, which will contribute to the promotion of tourism in Bjni and an increase in the flow of tourists to “Bjni Amrots”.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan toured the rose greenhouse of the “Pion” company in the Fantan settlement, which was established with the support of the “Support to the Development of Greenhouse Farms in the Republic of Armenia” program. The greenhouse was established with about 3 billion AMD of loan funds. Within the framework of the “Infrastructure for Investments” program, the loan interest rate subsidy amounted to 10%, or about 77 million 308 thousand AMD. Within the framework of the investment program, the Government also applied the right of exemption from import customs duties on imported technological equipment. As a result, a rose greenhouse with an area of 4.37 hectares was established by the private sector.

Then the Prime Minister visited the secondary school in the Qaghsi settlement of the Hrazdan community. The educational institution was renovated within the framework of the Government's "300 schools under construction, major renovation or reconstruction by 2026" program. The total cost of construction works amounted to 377 million 880 thousand drams. The renovated school is designed for 403 students.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited the "Alternative" youth center in the Aghavnadzor settlement of the Tsaghkadzor community. Within the framework of the grant program, the 300 square meter area of the building was renovated, furnished and equipped. The center was included in the Government's 2021-2026 activity program among the 25 youth centers planned until the end of 2026. The total cost of the program was 36 million 983 thousand drams, of which the Government of the Republic of Armenia allocated 59%, about 21 million 708 thousand drams. It was presented that 200 young people will use the center's services annually in the program areas under the grant application. As of April 4, 2026, 520 visitors have been registered.

In Abovyan community, the Prime Minister toured the newly built kindergarten building in the Balahovit settlement and got acquainted with the work carried out. The total cost of the subsidy program amounted to about 165 million 544 thousand drams, of which 70% - about 115 million 881 thousand drams - was allocated by the Government. The kindergarten is designed for 70 children.

In the Akunk community, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the conditions of the newly built kindergarten building in the Nor Gyugh settlement. The total cost of the subsidy program amounted to about 263 million 144 thousand drams, of which 70% - about 184 million 200 thousand drams - was allocated by the Government. The newly built kindergarten can accommodate 90 children.

In the Jrvezh community, Nikol Pashinyan visited the V. Karapetyan Secondary School, where renovation works were carried out within the framework of the Government's "300 Schools to be Built, Renovated or Reconstructed by 2026" program. The total cost of the program was more than 205 million drams. The renovated school is designed for 259 students.
