The Prime Minister gets familiar with programs implemented in Tavush region

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Tavush region and got acquainted with the programs implemented in the region.

Nikol Pashinyan's first stop was the Berd community, where he got acquainted with the road construction works. The Prime Minister was informed that the 40-km road H38, /H-30/ (Ttujur) - /H-36/ (Navur) of republican significance has been overhauled. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 2 billion drams. It was noted that it has significantly reduced the time of the Yerevan-Berd travel and is considered an alternative to the existing road, and also has great tourism potential, taking into account the existing terrain.

The Government allocated more than 1 billion drams for the overhaul of the 9.8-km section of the T-10-9, /H-36/ - Chinchin (T-10-38) road. In 2024, 6.9 km of the road was completed, and in 2025, 2.9 km. Sidewalks were built, and the road was equipped with safety elements. The section leading to the Chinchin village school was also renovated.

The Prime Minister was presented with the restoration works of the 19th century “Karakarmunj” bridge located on the Hakhum River, leading to Ijevan. The bridge will be pedestrian. The Prime Minister attached importance to the restoration of the historical bridge, which will also contribute to the development of tourism in this region. At the same time, the Prime Minister was presented with the steel truss bridge built in the adjacent section of “Karakarmunj” for cars.

Next, the Prime Minister was presented with the renovation works of the 35-km section of the H-36, /M-4/ Navur - Berd - Aygepar road, the total cost of which amounted to 3 billion 928 million drams. Sidewalks were built, and the road was equipped with safety elements.

In the Ijevan community, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction works of bridges on the 1st km of the T-10-26, /M-4/ - Khashtarak - Lusahovit highway, which have already been completed. The Government has allocated more than 396 million drams for the implementation of the project. It was noted that instead of the bridge in a state of emergency, 2 adjacent steel truss bridges were built.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited the Noyemberyan community and attended the opening ceremony of a newly built modular kindergarten with a capacity of 144 places in the Bagratashen settlement. The Government has allocated more than 919 million drams for the construction of a nursery-kindergarten with a total area of 1293 square meters. The area has also been improved, a 20 kW photovoltaic station and a solar water heater have been installed. A shelter, an irrigation system, and a nearly 1,000-square-meter playground with artificial turf have been built.

The next stop of the Prime Minister was in the Dilijan community, where the completed works on the overhaul of the road section from the Teghut settlement to Haghartsin were presented. As a result, about 2.5 km of the road, retaining walls, and two-way sidewalks were overhauled. The government allocated 662 million 800 thousand drams for the implementation of the program.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the overhaul works of the building of kindergarten No. 5 in the Dilijan settlement. The total cost of this subsidy program amounted to 67 million 925 thousand drams, 67% of which, 45 million 509 thousand drams, was allocated by the government. As a result of the implementation of the program, the kindergarten building, which was built in the 1950s, was overhauled. The area of the building is 150.6 square meters, designed for 25 children.

In the Dilijan community, the Prime Minister visited the Dilijan branch of the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Arts. The government allocated more than 146 million drams for the restoration of the museum's 582 square meter area. It was noted that before the renovation, the museum had an average of 1,000-1,200 visitors per year, and after the renovation, in the first quarter of 2026, the number of visits is already 600.
