Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Gegharkunik region to get acquainted with the implemented programs.
Nikol Pashinyan’s first stop was the Gavar community, where he attended the opening of a new kindergarten in the Berdkunq settlement. The Prime Minister toured the kindergarten and got acquainted with the implemented works. The total cost of the subsidy program amounted to more than 464 million drams, 75% of which, or more than 348 million drams, was allocated by the Government. As a result, a two-story kindergarten building with an area of 1,865 square meters was built, designed for 90 children.
In the Gavar community, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the renovation works of secondary schools No. 2 in the Sarukhan settlement and No. 1 in the Noratus settlement. The schools were renovated within the framework of the Government’s “300 Schools to be Built, Renovated or Reconstructed by 2026” program. The Government has allocated more than 248 million drams for the renovation of the Sarukhan school, which is designed for 270 students, and more than 427 million drams for the school in the Noratus settlement, which is designed for 340 students.
Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited Martuni community and got acquainted with the construction works of a new kindergarten building in the Tsovasar settlement. The cost of the subsidy program amounted to more than 202 million drams, of which 65% or more than 131 million drams was allocated from the state budget. As a result, a two-story kindergarten building with a total area of 650 square meters was built, the yard was improved. The kindergarten is designed for 90 children.
In the city of Martuni, the Prime Minister was presented with the asphalt paving works of Yerevanyan and Myasnikyan streets, for which the Government allocated more than 677 million drams. As a result of the implementation of the program, 1,755 km of roads are being renovated.
In Martuni community, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction works of a modular type nursery-kindergarten with a capacity of 144 places in the Astghadzor settlement. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 927 million drams, as a result of which a new one-story, 1290 square meter nursery-kindergarten building was put into operation, the yard was improved, a 20 kW photovoltaic plant and solar water heaters were installed.
In Martuni community, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the capital renovation works of the kindergarten for 150 children in the Vardenik settlement. The total cost of the subsidy program amounted to more than 358 million drams, 75% of which, or more than 268 million drams, was allocated by the Government. As a result, the two-story kindergarten building with a total area of 1,600 square meters was completely renovated, the yard was improved, and the exterior walls were covered with alucobond.
The Prime Minister also got acquainted with the reconstruction works of the H-7,/M-4/-Shorzha-Vardenis-/M-10/ road. The total cost of the project amounted to 889 million 800 thousand drams, as a result of which about 18.9 km of the road was renovated.
Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited the Geghamasar settlement, where he attended the opening ceremony of a reconstructed preschool institution designed for 50 children. The total cost of this subsidy program amounted to more than 161 million drams, the share of the state budget was more than 159 million drams. The kindergarten building with an area of 463 square meters was renovated on a total area of 1874 square meters, of which 93 square meters is the basement.
In the city of Chambarak, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the reconstruction works of the retaining wall at the beginning of G. Nzhdeh Street. The total cost of the project (phase 1 in 2024) was more than 69 million drams. 135 linear meters of retaining walls and one bridge in a state of emergency were restored. In 2025, the Government allocated more than 99 million drams for the second phase of the project. 256 linear meters of retaining walls were restored.
Nikol Pashinyan toured the city of Chambarak, got acquainted with the construction works of the lighting network of the central street and the streets of the Upper Chambarak district, as well as the H-30 national highway in the Ttujur and Vahan settlements. The total cost of the subsidy program is more than 182 million drams, of which 70% or more than 127 million drams was allocated by the Government. As a result, 11,780 linear meters of new lighting network will be built on 10 streets. Major renovation works of a 1.5 km highway are also underway in Chambarak.
In Sevan community, Nikol Pashinyan visited a 10.7 ha tomato and cucumber greenhouse established by the private sector with the support of the Government in the Lchashen settlement. Within the framework of the state program, the Government has subsidized more than 3 billion and 2 billion 70 million drams. At the same time, within the framework of the investment program, more than 257 million drams of compensation was provided for the construction of electricity supply and gas supply infrastructure. “Green Solutions” LLC also took advantage of the Government’s privilege of exempting imported technological equipment from import customs duties.
