Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in Brussels on a working visit.

Today, the Prime Minister will have a private talk with the President of the European Council Charles Michel. Afterwards, the trilateral meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is scheduled.

Nikol Pashinyan will take part in the sixth summit of the Eastern Partnership on December 15 in Brussels. In the sidelines of the event, the Armenian Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with European partners.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is in Brussels on a working visit, had a private conversation with the President of the European Council Charles Michel.

The Prime Minister of Armenia thanked Charles Michel for the consistent efforts aimed at solving the problems caused by the 44-day war.

The interlocutors referred to the upcoming trilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev scheduled for today, attaching importance to the continuity and strengthening of the dialogue. The parties expressed hope for effective negotiations, which will contribute to stability and a comprehensive settlement of the issues.

Nikol Pashinyan and Charles Michel also touched upon the agenda and issues for discussion at the sixth summit of the Eastern Partnership to be held in Brussels on December 15. The parties highlighted the development of Armenia-EU cooperation and the effective implementation of programs within the framework of the Eastern Partnership for the benefit of the implementation of institutional reforms and the strengthening of democracy in our country.

The sides stressed the importance of the reforms launched in Armenia during the last three years and the steps taken by the Armenian Government in that direction. In this context, the President of the European Council stressed the readiness of the EU to further deepen and expand the partnership for the implementation of the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Charles Michel also referred to the developments taking place in the South Caucasus.

The trilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took place in Brussels.

The implementation process of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, as well as November 26, 2021 were discussed.

Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed the need for the full implementation of the above-mentioned statements, in particular, emphasizing the need for an immediate solution to humanitarian issues: ensuring the return of prisoners of war, hostages and other detainees. Reference was made to the work aimed at opening regional communications.

The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan reaffirmed the agreement on relaunching the railway. Accordingly, the railway will operate in accordance with internationally accepted border and customs rules, based on the principle of reciprocity, under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the respective countries. Armenia will get railway access to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.

Taking concrete steps to reduce tensions in the region was highlighted.

Reference was made to the possible steps aimed at carrying out demarcation and delimitation of the borderline, as weel as building mutual trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The parties agreed to continue contacts.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of Moldova Maia Sandu within the framework of the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels.

The Prime Minister highlighted the development of relations between the two countries, praised the political dialogue with Moldova. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to develop economic cooperation, adding that there are good preconditions and necessary potential for that. According to the Prime Minister, the Governments of the two countries should continue the close cooperation to expand trade and economic ties, as well as to promote tourism.

The President of Moldova stressed that her country is interested in deepening and strengthening relations with Armenia. Maia Sandu noted the need to give a new impetus to the cooperation in economic and investments spheres. In this regard, the latter considered it necessary to hold a business forum, which will contribute to the establishment of new contacts between businessmen and the implementation of joint investment programs. The President of Moldova also highlighted the development of cooperation and exchange of experience in the process of institutional reforms, including reforms in the spheres of justice, fight against corruption and human rights.

Nikol Pashinyan and Maia Sandu also touched upon the cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, the agenda of the summit to be held today, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

In the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Janez Janša, Prime Minister of Slovenia, a country that currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the Slovenian side for promoting close cooperation between Armenia and the EU and for effectively promoting joint programs during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government is interested in developing and strengthening the partnership with both the European Union and Slovenia in various fields, including economic. At the same time, the Prime Minister referred to the institutional reforms in Armenia, emphasizing that they will be of persistent and resolute nature.

Janez Janša stressed the importance of deepening Armenia-EU relations, adding that the programs implemented within the framework of the Eastern Partnership can give a new impetus to the strengthening of relations. According to the Prime Minister of Slovenia, there is a great potential for cooperation, the realization of which will contribute to the effective implementation of reforms in Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon the agenda of the Eastern Partnership summit, the developments in the South Caucasus, as well as the results of the trilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of the European Council and the President of Azerbaijan in Brussels.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took part in the 6th summit of the Eastern Partnership at the European Council in Brussels.

The event was attended by the leaders of the EaP participant states - Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, as well as the leaders of the EU Member States.

The plenary session was preceded by a group photo-video session of the leaders of the EaP participant states with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Janez Janša, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, a country currently holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

At the beginning of the plenary session, the President of the European Council Charles Michel addressed the participants of the summit. Afterwards, the leaders of the EaP participant states, as well as the EU Member States delivered remarks.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the cooperation with the European Union within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, the institutional reforms being implemented in our country, the steps to strengthen democracy, development programs for small and medium business, infrastructure, as well as the developments in the South Caucasus region.

The 6th EaP Summit focuses on support to five key areas: support for the economy, governance, environment, digitalization and societies.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Summit.

The interlocutors discussed a range of issues related to the further development of cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres. The sides attached importance to the partnership between the two Governments aimed at promoting mutually beneficial projects. The results of the Eastern Partnership summit were touched upon.

Nikol Pashinyan and Nicos Anastasiades exchanged views on the developments in the South Caucasus. The readiness to face the challenges jointly, the need for close, effective cooperation for solving problems was emphasized.

The trilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took place following the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels.

The meeting took place on the initiative of the President of France.
