Nikol Pashinyan, Sooronbay Zheenbekov discuss Armenian-Kyrgyz relations development prospects

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov in Sochi.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on assuming the office of head of government and expressed confidence that the bilateral relations will continue to expand and strengthen ahead.

“I am convinced that through joint efforts we will add momentum to the traditional Kyrgyz-Armenian relations,” Sooronbai Zheenbekov said.

Thankful for congratulations and best wishes, Nikol Pashinyan stressed that his government is committed to constructive steps in order to promote cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister prioritized the development of economic cooperation, noting that it does not meet the current high level of political relations.

“We are full of energy for doing effective work. There is great cooperation potential between the two countries, and it is necessary to take steps to that effect,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Kyrgyzstan discussed other issues related to the furtherance of ties between the two countries.
