Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended UWC Dilijan International School graduates’ graduation ceremony. The Premier first toured the institution to get acquainted with the conditions and educational opportunities available at the school.
Welcoming the school graduates, Nikol Pashinyan said he was glad to have a school like that in Armenia. “This is a symbol of the future Armenia, since the latter is to be a State of love, solidarity and high-standard education. During the march that started from Gyumri, when I stopped here, I was saddened to see the discrepancy between this place and the surrounding area. But at this point, I realized that the school can become a center of inspiration, enthusiasm and optimism for Dilijan residents or for those who will happen to be here,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
The Premier said he was inspired by the positive atmosphere in the school and highlighted the fact of providing high-quality education. The Head of Government assured that the country’s educational problems will be addressed consistently.
“We are happy to see you in Armenia and hope that you will tell the story of our country when you are back home; you will say that we are a small country, but people have a great heart, a good sense of democracy and solidarity here,” Prime Minister Pashinyan said.
104 students from 63 countries are graduating from the Dilijan International School this year. Ten of them are Armenians. This is the third graduation season for the school. The school hosts 210 students from 80 countries at this point of time. 96% of the students benefit from partial or full scholarships. The Dilijan International School started operating in October 2014.
