RA Prime Minister, German Development Bank executives discuss cooperation development possibilities

 Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a German Development Bank (KfW) delegation, headed by Olaf Zimelka, Regional Director for the Countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The Prime Minister said his government is keen to bolster and develop the ongoing cooperation with the Bank, highlighting the latter’s important role in Armenia’s economy. Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to ensure loan programs’ effectiveness and continuity.

Nikol Pashinyan briefed the guests on his government’s priorities and the reforms being implemented in different fields of public life. In this context, he singled out the steps aimed at improving the business environment and stimulating investments.

Stressing that the Bank’s cooperation with Armenia promotes Armenian-German relations, Olaf Zimelka noted that KfW is prepared to help expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation. The interlocutors discussed issues of current and prospective programs in the fields of energy, agriculture, infrastructures and other areas of mutual interest.
