PM receives French Senate’s France-Armenia Friendship Group delegation

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today a delegation headed by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, the President of French Senate’s France-Armenia Friendship Group (hereinafter Friendship Group).

The Premier appreciated the Friendship Group’s activities aimed at the furtherance of Armenian-French relations and hailed the current level of interstate cooperation between Armenia and France. Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that his forthcoming visit to France will help deepen bilateral relations.

Noting that Armenia is actively preparing for the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, the Head of Government expressed confidence that the Summit will be held at the highest level.

Pleased with the ongoing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, the interlocutors attached importance to the development and expansion of economic ties, including trade turnover. The meeting next touched upon the processes underway in Armenia and the reforms implemented in various spheres, including democracy, Electoral Code amendments, business environment, simplification of tax and customs administration, investment promotion, etc.
