Today, the proceedings of the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie concluded in Yerevan.
The Yerevan declaration was adopted following the outcome of the Summit. Nikol Pashinyan presented the results of the vote for the post of OIF Secretary General, according to which Louise Mushikiwabo, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, will assume this post.
Nikol Pashinyan highly valued Michaëlle Jean’s efforts as Secretary General and congratulated Louise Mushikiwabo on her election to the new position. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia wished Louise Mushikiwabo every success in her mission and expressed confidence that during her tenure she will contribute to the further development of the Organization.
