Nikol Pashinyan calls at PicsArt Armenia office

Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today visited PicsArt Armenia office in Yerevan. PicsArt is a photo editing application created by Armenian developers. During the visit, Nikol Pashinyan was briefed on PicsArt’s activities, working conditions and expansion plans. Armenia Office Director Mikayel Vardanyan and Chief Technical Director Artavazd Mehrabyan advised that the company has 320 employees - IT specialists, project managers and designers. Over 30 employees are engaged in the office in San Francisco.

The Acting Prime Minister appreciated the creativity-conducive working environment in PicsArt. Issues related to the development Armenia’s IT sector and PicsArt’s further expansion were discussed during the consultation held with the company management. Reference was also made to educational and training issues.

Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government considers the IT sphere as a priority area and is set to expand cooperation with IT companies, discuss existing problems and find mutually beneficial solutions.


PicsArt is the only free application that has more than 3000 editing tools and effects equipped with artificial intelligence. The application is available worldwide in more than 30 languages. It boasts more than 500 million downloads and 100 million active users per month. It is available free of charge free for iOS, Android and Windows platforms.
