Nikol Pashinyan holds farewell meeting with outgoing UAE Ambassador to Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Armenia Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country. Nikol Pashinyan thanked the Ambassador for close cooperation and wished him every success in his future activities.

Stressing the importance of developing political dialogue and economic exchanges between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, the Premier expressed the hope that interaction between the two countries will continue to expand and strengthen ahead. “We expect to see new investors and increased number of tourists coming from the UAE in the near future,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

On behalf of the UAE Government, Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his appointment as Prime Minister and expressed confidence that the two countries’ joint efforts will result in new success stories in the coming years, including trade and tourism. The Ambassador advised that many UAE investors are keen to implement investment projects in Armenia’s energy and agricultural sectors and stand ready to work closely with the Armenian government in this direction.

Both sides highlighted the role of the intergovernmental commission in terms of promoting cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on other issues of topical interest.
