Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted a delegation led by His Eminence Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslav, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, who arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the Catholicos of All Armenians.

Welcoming Metropolitan Pavel’s visit to Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan said it is a good opportunity to discuss ways of further strengthening the friendly relations between the two Churches and peoples. The Premier stressed that Armenia and Belarus are bound by centuries-old historical-cultural ties, and the role of churches is great in their preservation.

Thankful for the warm welcome, Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslav noted that the Armenian and Belarusian peoples entertain a warm and sincere attitude towards each other. The Church should preserve and build on those relations by strengthening and propagating spiritual values.

Issues related to the strengthening of Christian values and traditions, as well as to bilateral historical and cultural affinities were discussed during the meeting.
