PM holds consultation on fatalities in the Armed Forces

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultative meeting, attended by Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, Acting National Security Service Director Eduard Martirosyan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Artak Davtyan, Attorney General Arthur Davtyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan, as well as by senior representatives of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies.

The circumstances and causes of recent casualties in the Armed Forces were discussed in detail. Those in charge reported progress in the criminal proceedings launched in that connection.

As a priority, Prime Minister Pashinyan singled out the problems associated with criminal subculture and discipline in the Armed Forces. He stressed the need for taking consistent steps in a bid to ensure strict enforcement of discipline in the army and gave relevant instructions to those responsible.
