PM holds another meeting with relatives of missing and captured persons

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today held another meeting with families of Armenian servicemen and civilians reported missing or captured during the Artsakh war.

The Prime Minister gave details of his discussions with the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, noting that during those meetings he told them that the government was concerned about the extent of their efforts to ensure the return of prisoners of war. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the government would continue to do its utmost to ensure more effective and rapid implementation of said activities. The Premier said the Armenian government had expressed readiness to do anything that could contribute to the expansion and increase of ICRC resources.

Nikol Pashinyan urged family members to refrain from publishing and disseminating location data and other information on social networks to ensure the effectiveness of the ongoing efforts.

A representative of the Ministry of Defense provided the latest updates on the work done to exchange the bodies of victims. The Prime Minister took note of family members’ concerns and answered their questions.
