Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Foreign Ministry and introduced newly appointed Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to the staff of the Ministry.

Prime Minister Pashinyan said in his speech,

''Good day, dear participants,

First of all, I want to thank Armen Grigoryan for his work as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. That was a short but important period, during which, I think, important decisions were made and guidelines were set. I want to congratulate Ararat Mirzoyan and wish him success in the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Our country is facing exteremly serious challenges. Those challenges are mainly security-related and for controling those risks and creating favorable external environment for our country, we need a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic service that will be capable of taking on and sharing the political responsibility for today and the future of the country.

Both Ararat Mirzoyan and Armen Grigoryan are representatives of our political team and my understanding is that particularly in this period the state administration system should work as one monolithic body, one organism. And I am sure we will do that.

We are facing a very serious reform agenda in the public administration system in general. The most important goal of that agenda is to increase the efficiency of the public administration system and to establish a system capable of setting concrete goals and achieving them. And I think, like in the other bodies of state administration, we should develop and set concrete cretaria for work evaluation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic service and evaluate the works according to those creteria.

I want to once again thank Mr. Grigoryan for his work and wish success to Mr. Mirzoyan and all of us for properly implementing the agenda and coping with the challenges facing us''.

Armen Grigoryan thanked PM Pashinyan for trust and confidence and the staff of the Foreign Ministry for the joint work, noting, ''Mr. Prime Minister, that was a short period, but we have been able to move forward in a number of directions and also record some achievements.
To be honest, an emotional connection with the Ministry has been formed and I want to thank each employee for that, even those with whom I had no opportunity of a direct interaction. But I think we did productive work''.
Armen Grigoryan congratulated Ararat Mirzoyan on the occasion of assuming the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished him and the Ministry's staff success.

Newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said,

''Honorable Mr. Prime Minister,

I express gratitude for the high confidence in me. In the conditions of the new foreign policy and security environment being formed around our country day by day, in the conditions of challenges that have existed for decades, and, in fact, have not been solved and the challenges that have newly emerged, it is very difficult and obliging, but equally honorable for me to assume the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

At this point, I must only assure you that by combining the best traditions in the ministry and the system, on the one hand, and on the other hand, by modernization and the reforms that have already become obvious necessity for everyone, we will spare no efforts and energy in our work every day, hour and minute so as our country can overcome the existing challenges, go through these trials in the best possible way. We will try to make our modest contribution to bringing our country to the maximally safe, peaceful, developing point.

Once again, I am thankful for both the confidence and good wishes. I want to seperately thank Mr. Armen Grigoryan, who temporarily paused his exteremely important work to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the system’’.

The Prime Minister wished effective work to the newly-appointed Foreign Minister and the staff of the Ministry for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people.
