Draft legislation on making amendments to the Law on General Education discussed at Government

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation to discuss the draft legislation on making amendments to the Law on General Education.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan presented the bill in detail, noting that it envisages the introduction of new tools for teacher certification, stimulation and professional development. The amendments are aimed at applying more effective and flexible approaches to the management of general education, introducing more favorable conditions for teachers, increasing the efficiency of expenditures in general education and school management.

Exchange of views over the bill took place, various proposals and observations were presented, which will be taken into account for the amendment.

Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed the need for continuous and effective reforms in the field of general education, emphasizing that raising the quality of education is among the Government's priorities.
