Opportunities for implementation of several projects discussed at the meeting of the Investment Committee

Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the second meeting of the Investment Committee took place at the Government.

The investment program for the establishment of a system for forecasting and early warning of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena was presented as the first item on the agenda. It was reported that the cost of the project is 3.68 billion AMD, with which it is planned to purchase 3 Doppler radars. As a result, it is expected that hazardous weather events, including heavy rainfalls, hail, gale-force winds, thunderstorms will be predicted with greater accuracy.

The next project referred to the modernization of the Republican Scientific and Medical Library, which will cost 589 million AMD. Renovation of the administrative building of the library, construction of a new building, acquisition of equipment and software are planned. It is expected to increase the availability and affordability of postgraduate and continuing education, reduce the consequences of medical errors, and increase the confidence of patients in the knowledge of the doctor.

Next, the program of handing over "Armcoachterminal" CJSC to concession management was presented. It is estimated at 5 billion 848 million AMD. The plan envisages the reconstruction of 26 bus station complexes in the balance of "Armcoachterminal" CJSC and the construction of a new bus station in Yerevan. It is expected to increase the quality of bus station services through private management.

An earnest discussion of the above-mentioned investment projects took place, in particular, on their efficiency, assessment of investment values, expected values and other issues.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the effective implementation of capital investment programs in various fields, which will contribute to the development of communities, increase the quality of services provided to citizens and solve other problems. The Prime Minister instructed to finalize the projects and submit them to the Government, taking into account the recommendations presented during the discussions.
