A regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The Government adopted another decision to allocate money to regional administrations for the implementation of subsidy programs. Aragatsotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Vayots Dzor and Tavush governorates will be allocated with AMD 2,149,094.3 thousand for 66 projects.

As noted by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, with this latest allocation, the Government has already allocated AMD 19 billion for subsidy programs this year alone. "And if we summarize since the start of the subsidy programs, the community-government joint allocation is 108 billion AMD, in which the government's share is more than 55 billion drams. And it is gratifying that we also have investments from philanthropists in the amount of 2 billion AMD. In total, more than 2,050 projects have been implemented. I want to remind you that in the process of enlargement of communities, we included the projects of several settlements in one package, that is, in fact, about 4,000 construction projects have been implemented in different settlements," the Minister said.

Nikol Pashinyan once again emphasized the implementation of subsidy programs and noted that other community programs were also implemented with Government funding. "Since 2018, in fact, a total of 350 million USD have been invested in the communities of the Republic of Armenia. Moreover, I am not speaking about Yerevan," said the Prime Minister.

Through redistribution, the Government will direct 974,720.4 thousand AMD to the implementation of construction works of a number of educational and cultural institutions and the necessary design for them, as well as to the improvement of their technical equipment.

The Government made an addition to one of the previously adopted decisions, which envisages among the mandatory works and measures for the maintenance of areas of shared ownership of an apartment building, to also provide for the prevention of arbitrary construction and the elimination of their consequences (dismantling), the prevention of illegal occupation of common areas, and the elimination of their consequences. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan presented the situation in the field. "The head of the community has the right to make decisions on the dismantling of arbitrary buildings and structures on community-owned land or in some cases state-owned land. We regulated by law, decisions on dismantling of arbitrary buildings are clear. But, unfortunately, there have been and continue to be cases, particularly in multi-apartment buildings where the owner is the resident, not the community, where illegal constructions have been or are being carried out in basements, attics, roofs and other areas. With this decision, we are trying to find a regulation for that issue." In relation to the topic, Nikol Pashinyan noted that it is necessary to establish order and rule in the field and emphasized the importance of the adopted decision.
