Any defect in state budget-financed projects is unacceptable, such projects cannot be considered completed. the Prime Minister gets acquainted with the programs implemented in Armavir region

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Armavir region and got acquainted with the progress of projects implemented in the communities financed by the Government.

Nikol Pashinyan's first stop was in the secondary school named after M. Mekhakyan in Aragats, which has 348 students and where a new gymnasium and a new ceremony hall were built. It was noted that the construction works started at the end of April 2022, and were completed at the end of 2023. The area of the sports hall is 345 square meters, and the area of the banquet hall is 230 square meters. The total cost of the project is almost 375 million AMD. Prime Minister Pashinyan noted a number of shortcomings and problems, emphasizing that a consistent and strict approach should be taken to eliminate them.

Then the Head of the Government visited N7 primary school named after Y. Otyan in Vagharshapat, which has 667 students and where a gymnasium and a ceremony hall were built. It was noted that the construction works started at the end of April 2022 and were completed at the end of 2023. The project includes the construction and improvement of a sports hall and a ceremony hall. The area of the sports hall is 360 square meters, the area of the banquet hall is 230 square meters. The total cost of the project is more than 290 million AMD. According to the representatives, the gymnasium had not been repaired during the entire operation of the school, it was in a state of emergency since 2009, and it has not been operated since 2018.

Next, the Prime Minister visited Vagharshapat community. In order to properly organize garbage collection and sanitation works of Vagharshapat community, dump trucks, garbage trucks and garbage cans were purchased with government funding. The total cost of the project is around 476 million AMD. In general, the community was equipped with 7 garbage trucks (346,500,000 AMD), 1 dump truck (36,000,000 AMD) and 1200 trash cans (93,600,000 AMD).

The next stop of the Head of Government was at Artimet secondary school with 195 students, where a new gymnasium was built. Construction works started at the end of April 2022. The total cost of the project is more than 198 million AMD, and was financed by the government. The Prime Minister instructed to eliminate all the shortcomings and problems in a short period of time and emphasized that the supervision of the proper implementation of the programs should be carried out by both the ministries, the Urban Development Committee, and the regional administration.

In the framework of the regional visit, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the works of the renovation of the Araks community hall and the establishment of the Citizens' Service Office on the 1st floor by GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation). According to the persons in charge, the building of the community hall is in the final stage, and the works of the CSO have been completed. The total cost of the project is AMD 55.3 million. The project was implemented by the Government of Armenia, Araks community hall and GIZ.

As part of the regional visit, the last stop of the Prime Minister was in the secondary school after E. Dashtoyan in Janfida, where a new gymnasium and a ceremony hall were built. Construction works started in April 2022. The area of the sports hall is 360 square meters, and the area of the banquet hall is 220 square meters. The total cost of the project is 326 million AMD, which was allocated from the state budget. Touching on the existing shortcomings, Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed that any shortcomings in the projects financed from the state budget are unacceptable, and such projects cannot be considered finished.

During the visit, Prime Minister Pashinyan paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the motherland.
