The members of the Board of Trustees of the "Academic City" Foundation, Tobias Keyl, the deputy director of gmp International GmbH Architects and Engineers, which designed the master plan of the Academic City, and heads of concerned departments participated in the consultation.

Tobias Keyl, presenting the master plan, noted that the Academic City can be easily reached from the main cities in 2 hours, as it's in a quite favorable location, close to both the airport and the North-South highway. Details of university location, accommodation, road network, landscape were provided. According to him, during the development of the master plan, the Tamanian project was taken into account, trying to establish a connection with the history of Yerevan. "Last time we talked about integration with Armfilm. We had four successful groups that presented very interesting projects on how to revitalize the Hayfilm studio space. I hope that we will be able to bring these ideas to Armenia," added the deputy director of GMP International. Tobias Keyl emphasized that the topic of sustainability is also explored within the framework of the plan, since the Academic City is for the future and it should be focused on topics that relate not only to today, but also to tomorrow.

According to the Prime Minister, there are no more macro-issues related to the concept of the city and the conceptual points should be addressed. "In terms of vision, we have practically seen every step, every movement of the process. We had questions, but had no reservations. Of course, this is what we want," said Nikol Pashinyan.

During the consultation, the issue of the format of carrying out technical and economic analysis of the transport and road network, alternative means of transport was also discussed, the issue of the procedures for urban development and property management model was touched upon.

In connection with the topic of development of transport infrastructure, the Prime Minister referred to the tour he made from "Sasuntsi Davit" station by railway to the part of the Academic City. "My impression, to be honest, at least from the first part of today, I did not expect that we will go now and get there in half an hour," Nikol Pashinyan said and added that for accurate modeling of transport infrastructure, it is necessary to model the average person who will stay in the Academic City and who will come and go every day.

The scope of the works that can already start were also discussed at the meeting. It was noted that after the approval of the master plan of the Academic City, the design works of the railway and the cultural sector will start next.
