Today, the regular Cabinet meeting took place, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The Government approved the bills of the Republic of Armenia on amendments to the law "On Organizing Cultural Auctions" and related laws. The adoption of the bills will ensure the introduction of new economic mechanisms in the art market and the creation of a common environment that will facilitate the introduction of transparent instruments for the circulation of works of art and the establishment of new standards for supply and demand and pricing of cultural values. The adoption of the bill will contribute to the implementation of a systematic state policy in this area, in particular, preventing the outflow of cultural values from the Republic of Armenia and the systematic replenishment of state museum funds.

By the decision of the Government, Artur Nahapetyan was appointed Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee for a term of six years.

Nikol Pashinyan noted that it is important to have certain ideas about the results of the work of the Anti-Corruption Committee, including the Investigative Committee. The Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to record what has happened in the area of initiating criminal cases: “I noted with surprise and a little anger that we have criminal cases that have been initiated with great fanfare since 2018, and then one fine day we remember, say what happened to that criminal case that was on the front pages of the press, and receive a brief report that the preliminary investigation is ongoing. This, excuse me, is unacceptable, in the end, both society and the government must receive an answer.”

The Prime Minister stressed that the Anti-Corruption Committee plays an important role in these issues and expects the fight against corruption to be more effective. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the main task is to ensure that the system and mechanism work and respond clearly. Nikol Pashinyan also noted: "We are inclined to implementing very strict anti-corruption supervision over the current activities of the government and state bodies."

The Prime Minister touched upon the universal declaration system and noted that it solves several problems: "First, it will give us a huge boost in the direction of digitalization, because we must strengthen digital platforms. Second, with the help of the universal declaration system, we are creating a new infrastructure for state-citizen relations, which, of course, strengthens both the state and the citizen. And third, we will have a completely new educational infrastructure."

The Prime Minister assessed the introduction of the universal declaration system a breakthrough.
