Prime Minister Pashinyan receives Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, who is on an official visit to Armenia.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister to Armenia and expressed confidence that it will give a new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the need to activate cooperation between the governments of the two countries in order to develop and expand ties in political, economic and other areas.

Tanja Fajon also attached importance to the consistent development of relations with Armenia and added that the purpose of the visit to Armenia is to discuss the opportunities and further steps for promoting bilateral cooperation.

Nikol Pashinyan and Tanja Fajon discussed topics of regional importance. In particular, they touched upon the fact of agreeing on the draft agreement “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan”. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the Armenian Government's commitment to the peace agenda.

In turn, Ms. Fajon reaffirmed Slovenia's support for efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic cooperation.

At the same time, she stressed the importance of the Armenian Government's "Crossroads of Peace" project in the context of unblocking regional communication routes.

They also exchanged views on the further development of Armenia-European Union relations, as well as on the opportunities for supporting the ongoing democratic and institutional reforms in Armenia and expanding close cooperation.
