The Government has adopted a decision to regulate certain relations related to the procedures for reimbursement of social expenses in healthcare and education, introduced in parallel with the universal declaration system of income of individuals in the Republic of Armenia. In particular, it is proposed to establish that social expenses incurred in the period from January 1, 2024 to June 1, 2025 are reimbursed to the declarant also in cases where the actual payment for social expenses was made by another person, but with the declarant's funds. After the end of the transition period, the right to reimbursement of social expenses arises if the social expense was directly incurred by the declarant individual.
The Government adopted a decision in a package of unreported issues, which will cover the costs of maintaining the Armenian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, Muscat. The main part of the amount will be allocated from the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the rest from the Government's reserve fund. The opening of the Armenian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman will contribute to the growth of mutual recognition between the citizens and societies of the two countries, and will serve as an impetus for the strengthening of ties between Armenia and a number of countries in East Africa and the Indian Ocean, based on the historical and cultural ties between these countries and Oman.
The Government approves the bill of the Republic of Armenia on ratifying the Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Asian Development Bank on the Provision of a Loan from the Asian Development Bank for the Resilient and Inclusive Road Sector Improvement Project signed on March 18, 2025. Within the framework of the agreement, a climate- and disaster-resistant asphalt concrete road of about 27.1 km in length will be constructed, which will allow reducing the length of the Sisian-Kajaran road section, as a result of which the travel time will be reduced, the average speed of vehicles from the existing 50 km/h will increase (which will reach about 100 km/h), and the comfort and safety of traffic will be increased. The construction of the road section will contribute to increasing trade turnover, reducing transportation costs, attracting transit transport and developing tourism. As a result, it will reduce the duration of passing through this road section by 1.5-2 hours. The project is planned to be completed by November 2033.
