Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visits Yerevan State University

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Yerevan State University, during which he got acquainted with the work carried out to develop laboratory capabilities.

The Prime Minister first visited the Optics and Photonics Center of the Institute of Physics of YSU, the re-equipment of which was carried out within the framework of financing by the Committee for Higher Education and Science, the Innovation Competitiveness Fund and Yerevan State University. In particular, the Prime Minister was presented with the High-Speed Optics and Photonics Laboratory after Professor Levon Muradyan, the Photonics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the Optical Microsystems Laboratory, the Advanced Functional Materials Laboratory, the Optoelectronics and Photonics Laboratory, and the Center for Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies of the YSU Physics Research Institute.

The Prime Minister was also presented with the newly created YSU Memorial Park, dedicated to the heroes who died in the 44-day war. The Prime Minister laid flowers and paid tribute to their memory.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan toured the laboratories of the YSU Faculty of Biology. The Prime Minister was presented with the Bacterial Metabolism Laboratory, the Innovative Center for Microbial Biotechnologies and Biofuels, and the Scientific Laboratory of Experimental Pathology and Cell Signal Transduction.

It was noted that in 2022-2024, scientific and laboratory equipment worth about 3 billion drams was purchased for YSU at the expense of the state budget.

At Yerevan State University, Nikol Pashinyan also met with lecturers and students and presented the ideology of Real Armenia.
