A consultation was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which issues related to measures aimed at mitigating climate risks and the effectiveness of anti-hail installations were discussed.

Details were presented on measures aimed at mitigating climate risks: agricultural insurance, the introduction of hail protection nets, and options for compensating for hail damage. A report was also presented on the management of active impact work on atmospheric phenomena, the current state of gas generator anti-hail installations, and details were presented on studies on the effectiveness of gas generator anti-hail installations. It was noted that according to the results of the studies, gas generator anti-hail installations have no scientific substantiation.

The meeting participants touched upon the detection of hail clouds, the development of systems for developing hail risk scenarios, as well as passive options for anti-hail protection, such as agricultural insurance and the introduction of hail protection net technologies. According to those responsible, they are the most effective method for protecting agricultural crops from hail.

In the context of solving the above problems, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of using hail protection nets and insurance tools and instructed to continue work in this direction.
