The Prime Minister receives Georgian Interior Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Georgian Interior Minister Gela Geladze.

The Prime Minister welcomed his visit to Armenia and congratulated him on his appointment to the responsible position. Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that during Mr. Geladze’s tenure, the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries will be more active and effective. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Armenia will make every effort to this end.

Gela Geladze thanked for the reception and conveyed warm greetings from Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Prime Minister Pashinyan. The Georgian Interior Minister emphasized the importance of the centuries-old friendship and solid cooperation between the two countries in contributing to peace and stability in the region.

Details were provided on the discussions between the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia. It was reported that issues related to bilateral cooperation and common challenges were discussed. Reference was made to cooperation in the field of migration, crime and joint steps in the fight against illegal drug trafficking, as well as draft documents to be signed.
