Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan remotely participated in the Eurasian Economic Forum held in the Belarusian capital Minsk.

Prime Minister Pashinyan made a speech, in which he, in particular, noted:

“Esteemed Heads of State, members of delegations,
Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

Let me welcome the participants of the Eurasian Economic Forum, as well as express my gratitude for the work done to organize this event.

Dear colleagues, forum participants,

The Republic of Armenia considers digital development one of the main directions of sustainable growth. We are convinced that it is digitalization that opens up new opportunities in the economy, public administration system, and the social sphere.

Armenia has already introduced an architecture for interdepartmental cooperation, thanks to which state bodies do not duplicate information, but gain access to the original sources through secured communication channels. This has made it possible to create integrated digital services that combine all stages of service provision into a single, transparent and user-friendly process.

Such an approach opens up new opportunities for forming a unified digital environment.

Today, Armenia is a country that offers complex technological solutions and services.

Systematic work is underway in Armenia towards digitalization, e-government systems are being improved, citizens’ digital literacy is improving, and modern cybersecurity mechanisms are being developed.

NVIDIA’s recent decision to open a research center in Armenia confirms that even small countries with ambitions and technical maturity can play a significant role in the global technological ecosystem.

At the national level, Armenia is already investing in training specialists in machine learning, big data and cognitive technologies, creating local “sandboxes” for testing artificial intelligence solutions, and developing a regulatory framework, taking into account ethical principles and data protection mechanisms that ensure guaranteed trust in data, simplify procedures, and improve the quality of services provided to citizens and businesses.

The technological platforms that have been created and are in the process of being formed will serve as the basis for the formation of innovative branches in high-tech sectors of industry.

Already today, innovative solutions and artificial intelligence make it possible not only to automate processes, but also to radically change the philosophy of management, making a transition from proactive state services to predictive analysis in social and economic policies.

This opens up new opportunities for more accurate, personalized and timely decision-making, especially in key areas such as public administration, healthcare, education and social protection.

Dear partners,

Armenia attaches great importance to participating in the digital agenda, considering digital transformation as a tool for removing barriers and increasing transparency in mutual trade.

We attach particular importance to the digitalization of the customs sector as a basis for creating an area of trust. For Armenia, which shares no common borders with other EAEU countries, the modernization of customs, logistics and border infrastructure becomes especially relevant.

In conclusion, I would like to note that we are open to the development of cross-border platforms and pilot projects that will allow all of us not only to introduce existing technologies, but also to develop our own interesting and effective solutions.

Thank you for your attention''.
