Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with participants of the “Prime Minister’s Cup” school cross country runningin competition in the Parz Lake area of Dilijan, Tavush region, and talked with them around a campfire. The goal of this tournament, which is being held for the fourth time, is to promote running and a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren, as well as to promote physical education and sports.
The Prime Minister welcomed the participants and congratulated them on getting the opportunity to participate in the final round. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the need to promote a healthy lifestyle among the public, including schoolchildren, and emphasized that one of the directions for achieving this goal is to hold these amateur tournaments in various sports.
During the meeting, issues related to the organization and format of the tournament were also discussed. The participants shared their impressions and emphasized that there is a fairly high interest among schoolchildren in participating in these tournaments. They thanked the Prime Minister for such an initiative.
Nikol Pashinyan wished success to the tournament participants, as well as answered their questions.
The “Prime Minister’s Cup” school cross country runningin competition will be held in the area adjacent to Lake Parz in Dilijan on June 29. The best teams from schools of the republic, which were recognized as winners in the regional and community rounds, will participate in the final round. 11 teams, each consisting of 7 students, will participate in the tournament, which will overcome the 5000-meter competition area.
