Nikol Pashinyan noted that corruption is mainly a phenomenon that tempts people with power and leverage, and in the fight against it, he emphasized the importance of improving and ensuring proper working conditions for officials. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government, the political majority, have been able to address this issue as much as possible, in particular, very significant salary increases in the judicial system by Armenian standards have been implemented. “From the beginning our perception has been, and I have said that in Armenia, we are first and foremost raising the salaries of prosecutors, investigators, and judges for the benefit of the citizens, so as to make justice and fairness more accessible to them. I want to believe that justice and fairness are becoming more accessible in the Republic of Armenia, although we must also note that this is not a simple process,” the Prime Minister said, adding that it is an ongoing process and it is important to have the political will to address existing problems and formulate answers to questions in political and legal terms.
According to the Prime Minister, reforms in Armenia are being implemented with the expectation that the level of satisfaction of the public and citizens with justice and fairness will gradually increase. Summing up his speech, Nikol Pashinyan once again congratulated and thanked all employees of the Prosecutor's Office for their work: "I am convinced and hope that they set the task for themselves of providing the public with a higher quality service every day, and that service is a high service, the name of that service is justice and fairness. And I am also convinced that the Prosecutor General leads the Prosecutor's Office with that logic and ideology."
