The Prime Minister meets with President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing

During his working visit to Beijing, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that Armenia’s membership in the organization opens up new prospects for the implementation of investment programs.

The parties emphasized that the cooperation will contribute to the implementation of projects in the field of infrastructure development.

During the meeting, possible areas of joint work were discussed, including programs for the development of transport, energy, and communication infrastructure.

Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the Academic City project, highlighting the potential involvement of the AIIB as an investor.

In turn, AIIB President Jin Liqun. emphasized that the bank is ready to support the development of Armenia’s economic and scientific and educational sectors by investing in programs that will contribute to the country’s long-term growth and deepening regional ties.

The parties agreed to continue work aimed at developing and implementing specific investment projects.
