Armenia-China cooperation is developing in all directions: Nikol Pashinyan meets with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng

A meeting between Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng took place in Beijing at the Great Hall of the People.

Han Zheng welcomed Prime Minister Pashinyan’s visit to the PRC and his participation in the SCO summit and the parade held in Beijing. He noted that the fruitful meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and President of the PRC Xi Jinping resulted in the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and China, which will contribute to the development and expansion of cooperation in all areas. Han Zheng noted in his speech that China attaches great importance to the establishment of a strategic partnership with Armenia, and in this regard, the Prime Minister’s visit is of key importance.

Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome, emphasizing that the working visit to China is of great importance for Armenia. The Prime Minister noted that as a result of the visit, the relations between Armenia and China have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership, which creates new opportunities for further deepening and expanding ties. He also noted that in recent years, cooperation has been developing in the political, economic and cultural spheres, and ties between peoples are also being strengthened. According to the Prime Minister, the two peoples have great sympathy for each other, which is a solid basis for advancing comprehensive cooperation.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues of international importance and expressed confidence that in the near future Armenia-China cooperation will develop both at the bilateral level and on multilateral platforms.
